After a mid week win in the FA Cup the Heath players continued their good form with a good win at home to a good Littlehampton side.
In the first half it was Jamie Weston who opened the scoring after 20 minutes as he delivered the corner only to receive it back from Karly Akehurst and his first time low strike that beat the keeper at his near post.
The remainder of the half saw Heath with several chances but the Littlehampton back line stood firm, at the other end Littlehampton were restricted to chances from distance that the returning James Shaw dealt with comfortably.
It was minutes after the break that Heath extended their lead to two goals as Max Miller met Joel Daly's corner and headed past the visitors keeper.
Littlehampton then started to grow into the game and James Shaw had to be alert to keep the visitors at bay, the closest was a quick curling free kick that Shaw tipped onto the bar and managed to gather at the second attempt.
With just 8 minutes remaining Bailie Rogers fouled the Littlehampton player just inside the area and a penalty awarded. Ben Gray stepped up and ut an unstoppable penalty into the keepers top right to set up a tense final 10 minutes.
Heath held firm and bagged all three points in the opening match of the league season
