Weatherstone Sends Heath into Next Round

A strike 5 minutes from time from Christian Weatherstone booked the U18's place in the 2nd round of the Probee Cup

Heath are into the 2nd round of the Probee cup after a fine 3-2 win at Hanbury this evening.

Heath found themselves a goal behind just after the half hour but within 5 minutes were back on level terms after a Peacehaven own goal.

The second half and Heath looked on top of the game and deservedly took the lead through Man of the Match Ben Caidan with a fine strike from 25 yards out.

Heath then saw several good opportunities to extend the lead come and go and were punished on 72 minutes when Peacehaven drew level. Tom Smith made an excellent save to his right but the Peacehaven striker was first to react and fired in to tie the game.

The final 15 minutes became end to end with chances for both sides but with 5 minutes remaining Heath sealed the tie with another fine strike, Craig Flynn put the ball over and Christian Weatherstone scored his second goal of the season steering the ball brilliantly into the far corner.
