Heath Remain Unbeaten After Derby Day Win
By Stuart Morgan
Heath's good pre season continued at Bostik Premier side Burgess Hill today
Heath's pre season continued well at Burgess Hill Town today, despite missing Callum Saunders (who became a father later that evening - Congratulations to him and Courtney), Melford Simpson carried an injury so had to sit out and Patrick Akwasi was away it was a good work out once again.
Heath took the lead on 11 minutes as Nathan Cooper connected with a Lewis Finney corner and headed into the top corner.
Burgess Hill got back on level terms on the half hour mark when Charlie Bennett saw his first effort well saved by Josh Heyburn but the striker reacted quickest to stab in the loose ball.
It was Heath that again took the lead just before half time and a goal fitting to win any game. New signing Lewis Finney stepped up and curled a great free kick in from 25 yards out.
The second half saw many of the usual changes for both sides that happens in pre season games and seemed to lose its flow for a while but as time ticked on both sides had chances but the better opportunities falling to the hosts but they couldn't find a way past the solid Josh Heyburn.
Full Time BHTFC 1-2 Heath
We would like to thank Burgess Hill for hosting the match and the hospitality and wish them well in their forthcoming Bostik Premier season
Next up for Heath is a trip to Billingshurst on Tuesday night 7:45pm KO
