As part of this exciting development Burgess Hill Radio, which broadcasts on both 103.8FM and the internet 24 hours a day, will be covering as many of our Saturday home games as possible with ‘live’ updates, as well as keeping its followers up-to-date with all other club news from Hanbury Park via its social media channels.
Its Saturday Sports Show can be heard each Saturday from 2pm – 6pm and, additionally, the station will be broadcasting regular interviews with Blues’ manager Shaun Saunders, his players and other club officials throughout the season.
Another aspect of the partnership is that Burgess Hill Radio’s Jonny Drake, who is currently studying football journalism at university, has also joined our media and communications team where he will be working closely with Stu Morgan and assisting with producing match reports and content for both our match day programmes and website.
Blues’ Commercial Manager, Steve Dewsnip said: “These are exciting times for Haywards Heath Town and as a local football club at the very heart of Mid-Sussex, we are keen to engage with as many parts of that community as possible. This partnership with Burgess Hill Radio will help us to do that and we look forward to its listeners joining us and sharing our non-league football journey.”
Graham Wright, Head of Sport at Burgess Hill Radio added, “We're really pleased to get this set-up with the club, as they are really keen to engage with their local community, and we are always looking at ways to reach out across the Mid-Sussex area with our on-air and online coverage. We now look forward to following Shaun Saunders' side in their quest for success in the coming season."
